TJ - Father / Artist

I am 36, and the father to two daughters, and I am deeply proud of myself for attending the Deep Nature Immersion in 2021. In the preceding years, I noticed that my temper was becoming more volatile and my daily dependency on alcohol, caffeine, tobacco, and cannabis was increasing in severity while the relief from anxiety, depression, and stress they brought was diminishing.

Having done a Vision Quest in my early twenties, I knew the power of such a process and wanted to tap back into that profound experience. I reached out and was soon put in touch with Paul. From the moment I set my intention to show up, blockages in my life began to dissolve, including my concerns about finding the resources I would need to commit. This experience was the catalyst that gave me the strength and inspiration to shape my life exactly how I truly want it to be for me. For me, one of the most exciting and unique aspects of this process was the focus on incorporating the experiences into bettering my life in ways that are deeply personal and meaningful to the individual.

I now feel joy and deep contentment, having realised my purpose in life and have set fierce boundaries to protect my intentions whilst living my life without such a heavy reliance on external factors – chemical or otherwise. I make time for myself each day, and the constant feeling of anxiety has gone. I am now a better father than I could have even imagined possible. My gratitude for the process initiated by Paul and my expression of what it represents to me goes beyond anything words can describe. As such I created a piece of art, simply titled “Deep Nature Immersion”.

NB - TJ attended a year long programme as part of The Helios Fellowship, called ‘Fire in the King’s Cup’, exploring at depth Generative Masculinity, of which the DNI was an integral part.
