Consultancy
As a consultant, I primarily work with those seeking to influence or define policy & practice in an organisational, community or social context.
Illuminating the deep structure of the ‘context’ & the complexities of its relationship to the relevant ‘content’, I clarify the objective & subjective layers of the prevailing operational cultural maps from which the ‘big picture’ emerges. It’s then possible to clarify specific needs, wants, limitations, possibilities, & resources concerning the client’s intentions, identify key areas of concern & recommend (or develop) strategically aligned interventions.

Facilitation
Working from the ground up - often with hidden but enmeshed (complex) conflict, my initial aim is not to fix a problem but to create a generative space where problems & opportunities & intentions can be clarified, articulated & explored.
My approach is direct, dynamic & creative, seeking to elicit the core values that both obscure & animate live issues, yet also, if held skillfully, illuminate the potentials held within any conflict.
Once trust begins to emerge, initially expressed as a willingness to listen, extend & receive mutual respect & appreciate different world views, biographies & values etc I support & consolidate the emergent group intelligence, bringing it to bear in service to ongoing cooperation & collaboration.
