The turn of the calendar year presents a natural threshold.

At such times many of us pause to reflect on the year passed before turning our attention toward our hopes and intentions for the year ahead.

But when society is confronted with so much uncertainty and change it can seem a daunting task to consider changing anything at all.

It's understandable we instead try to hide away, and wait until everything settles down before making our next moves.

But, if there is one thing I know from working for over 20 years in the arenas of coaching, psychotherapy and culture change it's this - change feels most scary when we don't meet it as an invitation to learn and grow.

Until one is committed there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness.

Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too.

All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way. I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe’s couplets:

Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.
— William H Murray, quoting John Anster, inspired by Goethe’s Faust.

Change is a universal law; like gravity, a fundamental part of being human. Either it's gonna happen to us, or we're gonna happen to it!

We have a choice though. We can react to external circumstances, or we can make time and space to listen and respond to our deeper intuitions, and turn to meet life on our terms.

New year or not, from time to time it's wise to check-in with ourselves, see where we are, clarify and reassert our intentions, identify our resources and the challenges we might face, and align with our deeper values, before putting our best foot forward again - maybe further in the same direction, or off somewhere entirely new.

Embarking on a journey of change with other like-minded individuals is a powerful way of supporting ourselves.

It helps us not just in making a bold start, but also in laying the foundations for our continuing progress as we move forward.

By giving ourselves the support we need, we gain confidence in our innate capacities to create and achieve the generative goals and outcomes most aligned with the unique journey we are on.

As we learn and grow along-side others, our appreciation for the challenges and rewards inherent in living a life of our choosing expands. As our sense of gratitude deepens, we might notice what once seemed an overwhelming proposition doesn't seem so big after all and life stops being a scary problem to solve, and becomes the adventure it's supposed to be...

If you are interested in meeting life on your terms, this invitation is for you.

Schedule.

1st Session - Saturday Online Group Session 1030am - 1230pm

2nd Session - Saturday 1230pm until Sunday 330pm - Solo time out in nature and / or indoors - you chose the duration. Two or three hours would be enough though it's up to you.

3rd Session - Sunday Online Group Session 330pm - 1730pm

Intentions.

We begin on Saturday morning with the first 2 hour session. We'll explore what generative change really looks like, what motivation actually is and where it comes from, and how we can access and align with our deeper intentions to change in any area of our lives.

It will be focused but informal and fun, with plenty of time for questions.

I'll share some stories, guide you through some simple embodiment exercises, and introduce you to generative ritual and the deep imagination as tools you can shape to meet your own specific needs.

After this first session, as well as having some new insight and skills, you'll have a good idea of what you want to change, and why it's important, and also what's getting in the way of you successfully achieving your outcomes.

During the second session - your solo adventure between 12pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday, you'll take what you learned in the first session and in the simplest of ways explore the change process you wish to initiate and embody.

This is where the magic happens.

In the third session on Sunday I'll guide some deeper meditations to help further digest and metabolise your experience, as well as share some additional tools to help refine and incorporate what began as a simple intention into a daily practice.

You’ll go away with confidence in your innate abilities to discern what you really want and need, and have a firm grasp of the basic skills to approach and navigate change with confidence.

NB - Included in the cost - links to download the guided meditations (generative trance) for future use as you wish, and a basic written outline for generative change.

If there is interest I'll open an on-going group to continue exploring generative change.

A minimum of 12 delegates required to proceed.
